Larry O. Hale, age 74, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at his home in Thaxton, surrounded by his family. He was born October 7, 1942 to Hazel and Euree Garrett Hale of the Hurricane Community. He enjoyed camping, flying and farming. He was voted "Outstanding Young Farmer" of the year in 1971. He worked for the Na-Churs Plant Food Company for 20 years, and built his own Acro Sport II to fly in 1989. He was a member of the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class and Thaxton Baptist Church.

Larry O. Hale, age 74, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at his home in Thaxton, surrounded by his family. Services will be at 3 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Thaxton Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Wilbanks and Rev. Glen Reeder officiating; burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Hall Hale, one daughter, Penny Falkner (Mike), three granddaughters, Alyssa Falkner Foster (Josh), Molly Falkner, Lauren Rogers Myhand (Justan), one grandson, Caleb Todd, two great-granddaughters, Mina Ivy Foster and Hallie Ray Myhand, one son-in-law, Gable Todd, one daughter-in-law, Barbara Childers Todd, a sister, Gloria Hale Warren (Kenneth), and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Tiffany Hale Todd and his parents, Hazel and Euree Garrett Hale.

Pallbearers will be, James Warren, Kenny Warren, Jeffrey Hall, Jason Hall, Nick Ford, Rickey Wise, Nicky Moore and Ronnie Stepp. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Dr. Richard Russell, Jackie Bramlett, Carthel Hale, Warren Arter, Billy Hearn, Gene Turner, Shorty Harkness and the Adult Men's Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be at Thaxton Baptist Church on Tuesday from 5 to 8pm and on Wednesday from 1 to service time at 3pm.
